Check It Out at Christmas! is a concert-style presentation with a party flavour for the Christmas season featuring Taste. Guaranteed fun for all your 11-18 year olds this is an action-packed event with music, games, videos, songs and a challenging message from the band that will encourage people to look at the real reason for the season.

This is a multi-media event using exciting yet thought-provoking songs from Taste, party-style games and interactive, entertaining large screen video clips which reflect the Christmas season. Different band members use their faith stories as well as song introductions to communicate the message of Christmas and young people are encouraged to check out the facts surrounding the Christmas story and make a response to what they hear.

This event is suitable for both Christian and non-Christian young people to attend. The event will help people who are not necessarily familiar with the Christian faith to grasp that faith in Jesus has relevance to their lives today.

There is an opportunity for a response to the Gospel at this event but we recommend that it is followed by a discovery course such as Check it out (coming soon) or Youth Alpha.

Duration

Check It Out at Christmas! lasts for two hours. We recommend that refreshments are sold during an interval half way through the event. Taste CDs will be available at the event.

The organising church(es) need to find a suitable venue, such as the church hall, school hall or a theatre hall. We aim to be as accommodating as possible with venues and can work in reasonably confined areas.

A stage area or platform of 6m x 4m is required.

It may be that your chosen venue will have been decorated for Christmas already. However, it may be nice to get the young people involved in making the place party-like with balloons and streamers etc.  We will need chairs set out as it is a show more than a disco but we do recommend that you leave a dance floor at the front for those who are not too inhibited! (Please make sure the stage area is completely cleared before we arrive).

Viz-A-Viz Media provide high quality flyers and posters that we can offer you at a very reasonable cost. These need overprinting with event details which you can send to Joy Clark.

As the concert is part of a national tour the ministry gift suggestion for the event is dependant on travel.
